Student Accomplishments:
Sharon Condon on the value of doing differently this time

Sharon Condon

RSE student Sharon Condonn shares her story in her words:

“We have been going to the casino on Fridays and Saturdays in Febraury to swipe our card to enter into a contest each day. At 3 PM, 7 PM, and 10 PM they were giving away $500 to 10 people each hour on each day which made 60 people winning each weekend. Everyone’s name that is drawn receives the $500 even if you are not present. However, if you are there you have 10 minutes to report to the desk for a chance at $1,000 for one of the winners that hour.

Saturday [February 15] we swiped before the 3 PM drawing and I focused on hearing my name drawn. This was different than I usually do during the drawings. I usually focus on hearing Larry’s name drawn. It seemed to relax me rather than trying so hard working with my own name. Well, on Saturday all I could focus on was my own name. I kept saying my name over and over like it was being announced. THEN, IT WAS ANNOUNCED!!! At first it seemed like an echo in my head from what I had been saying out loud over and over.

Once I realized I had won, I reported to the front desk. I had to wait 10 minutes while the other 9 people had time to report that they were present. The lady in charge of the drawing stood in front of me with a tray that contained yellow chips and ONE PURPLE/BLACK CHIP. As I stood there waiting, I kept looking at that purple/black chip and seeing myself pick up the chip and hold it in my hand. Over and over I saw the chip end up in my hand.

We ended up with 6 of us present and we were lined up according to the order our names were announced. I ended up #5 of the 6 people. The first 4 people drew out yellow chips. I was very calm the whole time and kept my focus of holding the purple/black chip in my hand. When it came to my turn, the man behind me said “it looks like we have a 50% chance of getting the $1,000.” I knew that purple/black chip was mine!!! I put my hand in the box and felt the two chips and I grabbed the one that felt like the purple/black chip. When I pulled it out, I HAD THE PURPLE/BLACK CHIP — just like in my focus!!!!

I won a total of $1,500.00!!!! It was such a fantastic experience on so many levels — especially, focus worked. SO BE THAT!!!!

I just had to share my experience with you!!!

The other part is that the amount was loaded on my card so I had to play that $1,500 in the machines. As I played, any that I won was added onto my winnings. I played some $1.00 machines but wasn’t winning anything so I went back to the penny machines. All of my winnings, except 2, were under $100.00. I was having such a fun time following my knowingness and hitting smaller amounts. When I had finished playing out the $1,500 they had given me, I ended up with $1,300 cash to take home!!!!! What FUN!!!

It was magical all the way!!!

So grand to share with you!”
